Re-AI kicks off: connecting low-skilled adults to remote opportunities

Re-AI: Connecting Low-Skilled Adults to Remote Opportunities is an Erasmus+ small-scale partnership in vocational education and training. It aims to improve access to remote and hybrid work for adults with limited digital skills.

Coordinated by Hemisfério Didático, the project brings together partners from Portugal, Estonia and Italy to address a concrete labour-market gap: many adults remain excluded from new work opportunities because of low digital confidence and a limited understanding of technologies such as artificial intelligence.

Re-AI focuses on low-skilled adults, unemployed people and people in career transition. It combines digital upskilling with practical AI literacy, so that learning is connected to real work situations rather than abstract technical concepts.

Kick-off meeting

The project officially started with a kick-off meeting on 17 October 2025 in Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal, where the partners agreed on the methodology, roles and implementation phases.

What the partnership will do in 18 months

  • Develop four training modules on digital and AI skills for remote and hybrid work
  • Create an interactive online learning platform with practical exercises
  • Train VET educators to apply the Re-AI methodology in adult education
  • Run pilot programmes with adult learners in the partner countries
  • Organise international events to share the results and support long-term use

Throughout the project, the partners work closely together to make sure all results are accessible, inclusive and adaptable to different VET settings.
